Asbestos Testing

In accordance with UK regulations, the analysis of materials for asbestos must be undertaken by an accredited laboratory. SML Laboratories has an ISO 17025:2017 UKAS accredited laboratory for asbestos idenification.

We can provide the following asbestos services:

• Asbestos screening of soils
• Asbestos identification in soils
• Asbestos identification in bulk materials
• Asbestos quantification in soils using gravimetric methodology

Please discuss your testing requirements before sending samples to us, and please ensure you follow our handy sample handling guide. Samples of pACM bulk materials must be double bagged and sealed, and the holding container identified with pACM markings, as explained in the guide.
